things i miss

Sim Redmond Band

okay soo last friday night i went to the cyber cafe to watch the sim redmond band for the first time. before going i had only listened to one of their songs and i didnt really have high expectations lol.. not really my kind of music.. im more of a rap hip hop and r&b kind of girl.. buttt their music was like kinda hippie trippin music haha. after hearing them though i wish i could have listened to them sooner. it was amazing.

you couldnt even sit there in a bad mood.. the music honestly just makes you smile. i sat there probably looking really strange because i just couldnt stop smiling haha it was so much fun. i was there with about the 5 coolest people in the world and its a memory that im never going to forget. you like a song because its good but you also like a song because it reminds you of something or because there is a memory attatched to it. i have possibly the best memory i could ever have attatched to this music and i wish i could rewind and have that whole night back again.

here is a clip of their song "pink guitar"... our coach actually made us a shirt with these lyrics on the back of it...

some of my other favs are "good thoughts" and "holes in the ground", and manyy more...heres the lyrics to "holes in the ground" =] see if you can figure out what theyre trying to say..

when you wake up that way
and there's no one to be
and there's two holes in the wall where you've stared it away
no other waking hour will be the same
these dreams were made for walking
no other purpose will save them their crutches
no other melody I've found can carry words that way
you either turn your back or you're never alone
there's no in between and there's nowhere to go
there's no one to capture every sound
that slips out
then two holes in the wall
become holes in the ground
when you ask yourself if it's the light in the hall
that pulls you in closer or keeps you in your corner
no one would recognize me then
the distance kept us
two holes in the wall
now we're holes in the ground
